Risk Fund Scheme has been initiated at Kommeri Service Co-operative Bank. The Risk Fund Scheme is enacted to cover the loan liability of society members (upto 70 years) who die during the loan period and also aims to give relief to the dependents of such persons. In this scheme a balance loan amount of Rs. 1, 50, 000 capital and interest need not be paid back in case of death of the loanee.
The premium amount varies from Rs. 100 – Rs. 525 and the scheme will not be available to persons who default payments for more than 6 months. All members should ensure joining Risk Fund Scheme while availing loans from the bank.
Kommeri Bank offers Group Deposit Scheme at attractive rates for corporate companies, hospitals, hotels etc. The Group Deposit Scheme promotes group savings. The Group Deposit Scheme has been enabled for amount 1 lakh to 10 Lakhs and 5% is charged as commission by the bank.

The Kommeri Bank offers RTGS / NEFT facilities to its customers. This facility is available from all our
branches to our customers to send or receive money from or to anywhere in the country. Real time
gross settlement systems (RTGS) is a specialist funds transfer system where transfer of money or
securities takes place from one bank to another on a "real time" and on "gross" basis. The
settlement in "real time" means payment transaction is not subjected to any waiting period. Here
the continuous (real-time) settlement of funds is done by transferring individually on an order by
order basis and the processing of instructions at the time they are received is done rather than at
some later time.
National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) is a system for making transfer of funds easy. Individuals
can electronically transfer funds from any bank branch to any individual having an account with any
other bank branch in the country participating in the Scheme. The NEFT system operates on a
Deferred Net Settlement (DNS) basis which settles transactions in batches. Your transactions are
easier, and, with fewer restrictions with the NEFT service.
Also arrangements have been made to receive money from Gulf countries by associating with Western Union Money Transfer

In a joint venture with the Agricultural department the Kommeri Bank organised a one day workshop to raise awareness on the slow poisoning caused by vegetables sprayed by pesticides. More than 200 people interested in organic farming attended the workshop. A Valayanad Village farming committee was founded to encourage farming. Seeds of 9 varieties of vegetables were distributed. Agricultural loan of Rs.5000 was decided to be distributed interest free and upto Rs. 10, 000 at 7% interest. The bank is also willing to extend group agricultural loan for constructing Poly houses and Bio gas plants. By co-ordinating with the agricultural department the bank is also ready to extend any help to the farmers or to directly do farming if space is available.
Meritorious students among bank members were given cash awards for their excellent performances in SSLC, +2. The awards were presented to students of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Azhchavattom & Govt. Vocational Higher Secondary School, Kinnassery coming under the Kommeri Bank limits.
The Kommeri Bank has initiated a scheme where Rs. 400 is to be given monthly to the financially backward patients for their medical expenses. The bank also plans to be active in social services field and has been helping cancer patients to alleviate their suffering.
A Neethi Store functions associated with the bank to make daily use items available at cost effective prices to the people. In spite of not getting subsidy from the Civil Supplies department the bank issued 10 % subsidy on all items sold here during the Onam days.
